Leslie Irvine (Vandal's owner) and Woody win second overall in the 2009 '1000 mile double handed race' from Holland to Shetland via Norway on their 2nd ever race together, as well as 'Vandal's' first ever saltwater voyage. (In 2006 Woody joined Leslie as replacement crew during the RB&I finnishing 1st in class) .

Racing the brand new Koopmans VQ32, Leslie and Woody raced consistentlywell as a team on all legs, Woody as navigator and co-skipper.

"We're really stoked with this result, it's the first time we've put the boat through her paces and we end up with a podium position! It bodes well for our future races in 'Vandal' and a great first practice run for our upcoming double-handed Round Britain and Ireland race in 2010 where she will be re-named 'Streamline'" Woody.
