36 year old Andrew Wood dedicates his life to working, exploring and racing on the oceans of the world, in a diverse career that has so far spanned over 180,000 miles and taken him between the extreme cold and icebergs of the polar ‘Northwest Passage’, to the boiling calms of the tropical doldrums.

Andrew’s achievements in single handed oceanic racing and exploration have gained him numerous awards including - the Musto MICA award, the Royal Yachting Association’s ‘Yachtmaster© of the Year’ and the Royal Cruising Club's much revered ‘Medal of Seamanship’.

Today, Andrew continues to further his career as a full time yacht skipper in both offshore racing events, as well as yacht deliveries. His latest campaigns include an entry in the 2010 Shetland Round Britain & Ireland race, a couple of Mini Transat races, as well as researching the 2011/12 double handed Global Ocean Race aboard a Class 40.
