30,000 miles around the GlobeGOR

The course for the 2011-12 Global Ocean Race takes on some of the toughest conditions out there. This race has been quoted as "The right race at the right time", and quite justly so. Using the relatively affordable yet exciting Class 40 racing yachts, this round the world race bridges the previously un-spannable financial gap between the Minis/Figaros and the Open 60's of the Vendee Globe.

The Global Ocean Race brings the astronomical cost of an exciting round the world yacht race back down to earth, opening up realistically affordable sponsorship opportunities for small to medium sized companies who want to increase their branding visibility on a global level via the action packed and energy efficient world of ocean yacht racing.

The addition of four stopovers provides sponsors ample scope for corporate entertainment events, whilst the inclusion of onboard satellite communications ensures the media are continuously kept up to date with live events as they happen on the ocean.

The opening up of this once exclusive circuit provides the much needed opportunity for skippers both young and old to demonstrate their performance on a truly global platform, whilst helping to demonstrate to a worldwide audience what an exciting, yet eco friendly sport offshore yacht racing truly is.

Andrew is currently seeking sponsor partners to join forces with him on this major race. For further information and to receive a sponsor pack, please get in touch with Andrew via the contact page.
